Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of Spec AI (the "Service"), operated by Mahin Khattak ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Spec AI provides AI-assisted procurement tools, including RFQ generation, supplier scoring, landed-cost estimation, and spec translation. Outputs are generated by large language models and may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any output before relying on it for commercial decisions.

2. Account

You must be of legal age and have authority to bind your organization (if any). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it current.

3. Acceptable Use

You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
  • send spam, malware, or content that infringes intellectual property;
  • probe, scan, or interfere with the security or integrity of the Service;
  • scrape, mirror, or resell the Service or its outputs;
  • use the AI features to generate illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, harassment, or to attempt to jailbreak our model providers;
  • rely on Service output as financial, legal, medical, customs, or other regulated professional advice without independent verification.

4. AI Inputs and Outputs

You retain ownership of the briefs, specs, and other content you submit ("Inputs"), and you grant us a limited licence to process them solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any Input you submit. As between you and us, you own the outputs we return for your Inputs ("Outputs"); however, similar outputs may be generated for other users, and you must verify accuracy before use. We may remove or restrict content and refuse or filter outputs that breach these Terms, and may suspend or terminate repeat infringers.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose within your subscription plan. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or circumvent technical limits of the Service.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment terms, billing frequency, taxes, currency, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.

7. Service Availability

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. On termination you may export your data for a reasonable window before it is deleted.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your Inputs, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-product or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect is acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the seller's jurisdiction, and disputes will be brought in the competent courts there.
